Principal Advisor: Dr. Peter Coppin

How can we improve communication between healthcare providers, caregivers and patients who identify as neurodivergent? In this presentation, we consider the concept of noise, the systemic challenges that exacerbate communication barriers, and what can make communication successful. Drawing on concepts from Information Theory and Inclusive Design, we examine how to remove barriers to information exchange in healthcare settings and pave a more inclusive path forward.
